An advisory and assurance firm needed data pipelines for client onboarding, case management, and partner billing — pipelines that would have to satisfy their own audit standards. The systems already in place were not built with lineage as a first-class concern, and the partner team had begun to lose confidence in the numbers their own dashboards were producing.
The approach we ran.
We built the pipeline backbone on Smelter with lineage and reconciliation emitted from every transformation. Custom adapters wrapped the firm’s case-management and billing systems; human-in-the-loop review handled the exceptions that didn’t belong on an automated path. The audit trail wasn’t an export — it was the same data the dashboards read from.
