Travel & Expenses

A high-growth fintech.

Financial services — anonymised case study. Sector and outcomes are real; client name withheld.

The problem

What the customer was facing.

A scale-stage fintech had grown to 5,000+ employees on three different expense tools and a long tail of spreadsheets. Field collections couldn’t pause; hiring couldn’t slow. The CFO wanted one platform, one GL feed, and a reimbursement cycle measured in hours, not weeks — and the rollout couldn’t look or feel like an enterprise IT project.

How we engaged

The approach we ran.

We ran a single-tenant Happay rollout with phased department onboarding rather than a sequential pilot. Configuration covered the full policy library; statutory wiring included GST input credit and TDS handling; integration adapters connected the existing ERP and HRMS to the new GL posting flow. The change-management work — short videos, manager briefings, an open Slack channel during cutover — was scoped into the same engagement.
