What the customer was facing.
Oracle NetSuite was the system of record, but a number of structural gaps were forcing manual workarounds every month — no auto-reversal for accrual JEs, only single-GSTIN-per-state support for India localisation, limited bank-reconciliation rules that couldn’t handle partial payments, and one-by-one e-invoicing that throttled billing during peak periods. The finance team was patching gaps the platform left open.
The approach we ran.
We extended NetSuite on SuiteScript and SuiteTax rather than fighting it: a custom auto-reversal engine for accrual JEs with approval routing, a multi-GSTIN tax-engine for same-state registrations, an advanced bank-reconciliation engine with partial-matching and tolerance rules, a bulk e-invoicing pipeline with batched IRN generation and template-driven dispatch, dynamic Advanced PDF templates, TDS reversal automation, and a NetSuite-native auto-numbering format aligned to the NIC e-invoicing portal’s character limits.
